United States Army 409th Regiment Unit Crest (Steadfast)

Criteria: This item is the unit crest, or distinctive unit insignia, for the 40th Regiment. The unit's motto, "Steadfast," is emblazoned on the bottom scroll. The blue color of the shield alludes to the Infantry Corps. The copper colored star is adapted from the state flag of Arizona, where this unit is based. The cactus is also indicative of Arizona and is adapted from the shoulder sleeve insignia of the 103rd Division, where this unit has it's origins. This item is designed for wear on the Army Dress Blue (ASU) Uniform.
