First Nicaraguan Campaign Medal - Marine Corps
The First Nicaraguan Campaign Medal is a decoration presented by the U.S. Navy to recognize members of the Navy and Marine Corps who served in amphibious actions in Nicaragua between the dates of July, 29 and November 14, 1912. Personnel who served on the following vessels are eligible for this award: USS Annapolis, USS California, USS Cleveland, USS Colorado, USS Denver, USS Glacier, USS Maryland and USS Tacoma. This medal should be distinguished from the Second Nicaraguan Campaign Medal, which was awarded to Navy and Marine Corps members who served in Nicaragua between August 27, 1926 and January 2, 1933.
