NATO Non-Article 5 Medal for the Balkans Ribbon
The NATO Non-Article 5 Medal is a decoration presented to recognize service members who have participated in either the Operation Joint Endeavour (IFOR) to enforce the establishment of the Peace Agreement in the Balkans Peninsula or the Operation Joint Guard/Operation Joint Forge to provide support in the establishment of a secure environment within the Balkans. To be eligible, members must have served for 30 consecutive or non-consecutive days in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the Former Yugoslavia (including Kosovo), Albania or the Former Republic of Macedonia between January 1, 2003 - March 29, 2010. This medal is authorized to replace the NATO medals issued for NATO Operations Joint Forge and Joint Guardian.
