Next Of Kin Lapel Pin
Criteria:
Similar to the Gold Star Lapel button the Next of Kin Lapel pin is for the Next of Kin of deceased Armed Forces personnel. Authorized for issue retroactively to March 29th, 1973, if your relative died while on active duty or while assigned to a Reserve or National Guard unit in a drill status, and you do not qualify the the Gold Star Lapel Button, you may be entitled to wear this pin.
