Philippine Campaign Medal - Army
The Philippine Campaign Medal is a decoration presented by the United States Armed Forces to recognize members who served in the Philippine-American War between 1899 - 1913. There are two versions of this medal - one specific to the U.S. Army and one specific to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. To be eligible for the U.S. Army award, the service member must have met specific criteria regarding dates and locations. The Silver Citation Star was awarded to individuals who showed gallantry in battle and was authorized to be worn on the award medal. Eligibility of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps award is restricted to those who served between the dates of February 4, 1899 - December 31, 1904. No devices are authorized to be worn on the award medal.
